High voltage reed switches (HBS series) available at low and competitive prices on the market.

The HBS high voltage reed switches are vacuum reed switches with Tungsten contacts, enabling them to switch high voltage or high inductive current loads.
They feature excellent characteristics as low contact resistance, long operating life, high dielectric strength and isolation voltages (7 KV,10 KV and 15 KVdc).

The big advantage over other high voltage vacuum switches is the absence of the typical glass tip, through which the exhaustion or evacuation of air happens. This glass tip can break very easily if not handled with great care.
The Comus HBS vacuum switch is manufactured along the same process of a conventional reed switch, having a glass tube with a consistent diameter and strong seals. No evacuation glass tip!

The HBS high voltage vacuum switches can be used directly as a switch or can be built into high voltage relay devices. Current applications include high voltage testers, cable testers, medical instrumentation, defibrillators, but also applications in industrial process controls and power applications exist.
